November 2011 Future Voices :Celebrating the 100th anniversary
of women voting for the first time in elections for the Parliament
of Victoria with the students who have been part of the Leagues
2011 project that focussed on Local Government: young peoples
needs and womens participation.
Opening of the event by the Hon. Mary Wooldridge MP Minister for
Womens Affairs.

panel of eminent women who have held
public office including the Hon Joan Kirner AM, our first woman
premier.

people Speak" held by League of Women Voters Victoria in
collaboration with National Council of Women for International
Wome's Day.

Queen Victoria Women's Centre Shilling Wall will honour both the
first LWV President Julia Rapke JP and the late Pat Goble.
We
have taken action to include Pat Goble's name to the Shilling
Wall, anticipated unveiling, March 2012. Please donate to "Patricia
