16 November 2011 Future Voices :Celebrating the 100th anniversary of women voting for the first time in elections for the Parliament of Victoria with the students who have been part of the League’s 2011 project that focussed on Local Government: young people’s needs and women’s participation.
Opening of the event by the Hon. Mary Wooldridge MP Minister for Women’s Affairs.
Welcome: Dr Deborah Towns, President LWVV & introduction of panel of eminent women who have held
public office including the Hon Joan Kirner AM, our first woman premier.

Hon Judy Maddigan – panel responses and plenary.

Elwood College, Preston Girls Secondary College, Melton Secondary College.

Thursday 10 March 2011: Women's History Month - "Making Publiic Histories" Seminar offered jointly with Monash University Institute fro Public History, the History Instiitute athe State Library of Victoria.

Monday 7th March 2011: Parliament House of Victoria "Young people Speak" held by League of Women Voters Victoria in collaboration with National Council of Women for International Wome's Day.

March: Queen Victoria Women's Centre Shilling Wall will honour both the first LWV President Julia Rapke JP and the late Pat Goble.

We have taken action to include Pat Goble's name to the Shilling Wall, anticipated unveiling, March 2012. Please donate to "Patricia Goble", League of Women Voters Victoria member 1972-2010.
