Annual School Grant

The Lions Club of Lara makes available an annual grant towards an agreed project to all the schools in Lara on a rotational basis.

The sum of $1,500.00 is made available to 2 schools per year on a roster system plus the 3 kindergartens in their own right every third year (giving $1,000.00 each).

Letters regarding School Grants are forwarded on 1 July each year. The roster is shown below.

To receive this Club grant, the School must:

Identify a project it wishes to undertake
Cost the project (under or over $1,500.00)
Send a copy of any quotations with a project briefing to the Club
Agree to publicity in the local newspaper on completion

Upon final agreement by the Club, a payment of up to $1,500 towards the project will be made.

2006-07 Lara Primary School purchased a DVD Camcorder, Electric Sharpner and Factual Books on Sustainability with their grant allocation.

The Club received this 'Thankyou Card' made by the children from the Lara Primary School.
