Lara Citizen of the Year Award

From its inception in 2003-04 to 2008, this award has been under the auspices of the Lions Club of Lara. From 2008 onwards it has come under the purview of the recently formed Lara Australia Day Breakfast Committee and is still sponsored by the Lions Club of Lara.

Community Partnerships Rewards

Each week in 2006-07 (except for Total Fire Ban Days), a community group uses the BBQ outside Wiltons Centreway Butchers to raise funds for their respective projects. The Lions Club of Lara also has its turn to use the BBQ on a roster basis.

Certificate of Commendation - Jake Kemerer

(A Certificate of Commendation was presented to Jake Kemerer by President, Paul Wilson for
honesty and community consideration to others in December 2006. Upon finding $10,400, handing
this money to Victoria Police, who were able to restore to the rightful owner.)
