China, Laos Sign Cement Production Contract

   HANOI (Nov. 27) XINHUA - Laos and China today signed a 
contract  on cement production at the Lao Plaza Hotel, Lao 
official news agency  KPL reported.
   Under the three-year contract, the Chinese side will 
transfer  technology, management and production to Laos to 
build a cement plant  at Vang Vieng.
   The project will be carried out by the Lao managers, 
supervisors and  workers with the instructions of the 
Chinese side.
   The contract was signed by Yan Liankun, manager of the 
China-Yunnan  Corporation for International Techno-Economic 
Cooperation and Ounheuane  Phoumipheng, manager of the 
Agricultural-Forestry Development Service  of Laos.
