Chinese State Councillor Meets with Lao Guests BEIJING (Nov. 3) XINHUA - Luo Gan, State Councillor and Secretary-General of the State Council, met with a delegation from the Lao Ministry of Interior led by Minister Asang Laoley here today. During their meeting in Zhongnanhai, headquarters of the central government, Luo said that as good neighbors, the two countries have smoothly developed friendly cooperation in the political, economic and other fields through various channels. He noted that a series of agreement signed between relevant departments of the two countries have greatly pushed forward bilateral cooperation. He said that the Chinese government encourages more Chinese enterprises to invest in Laos. Laoley expressed satisfaction with the sound cooperation between the public security departments of the two countries. He noted that he has held talks with Chinese Minister of Public Security Tao Siju during his visit. The Lao Ministry of Interior and the Chinese Ministry of Public Security signed an agreement on coordinating their efforts to crack down upon international drug trafficking and strengthen law enforcement along the common borders of the two countries. CPC Delegation Leaves for Vietnam, Laos BEIJING (Nov. 3) XINHUA - A delegation of propagandists from the Communist Party of China (CPC), led by Bai Keming, vice-head of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, left here today for a good-will visit to Vietnam and Laos. The delegation will be there as guest of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.
