BKK Post / 6 August 1998 Laos denies plan to ban Thai goods Laos has no policy to ban imports of certain Thai products, according to Pracha Charutrakulchai, director-general of the Foreign Trade Department. Mr Pracha said he had been told by authorities in Champassak province that Vientiane had banned the import of all fruit, fish, shrimps and clams, tables and chairs, amplifiers, tape players and radios, desserts, distilled water for batteries, and acid, as these could be made in Laos.
