About the Run
 
We congregated in up-market hotel in down-market Brunswick. Run was set in northern suburbs which in itself is pretty dangerous, but Sooty has cobblestone fetish and was keen for a few broken ankles amongst the trim, taut, steriod-free athletes that are AKA hashers. No laneway, no old lavatory man's backyard access path, no railway crossing was left out of Sooty's Cooks Tour of Brunswick highlights. At run start he insisted we had to do the whole run and not stop half way when trail crossed back over Sydney Rd cos we would miss out on the best bits. Turns out he was kidding - one side of Sydney Rd is same as other side. Mothball, who did lots of shortcutting, rated run 36/45.
 
On after was good - healthy turnout of almost 30 hashers all squashed on long table in rear courtyard for great food and excellent circle.
