Christmas may come but once a year to the non believers, but at Lakeside it has a second coming in July. The good thing was that our agnostic RA had spoken to the Gods and we had perfect cold and wet weather for the occasion.

The run as described in great detail and in a monotone by Pol Pot was a combination of parks, alleyways and rather expensive real estate.  The pack managed to break up into small groups as the paucity of arrows caused by the rain (not the hare) send the runners in a myriad of directions. Luban, Pol Pot and myself covered the whole trail and the other less canny runners came in about 10 minutes after our arrival. As for the walkers – Wouldn’t have a clue.

Score:  7.75 out of 22.

The food: What a feat! What a feast! Our hosts did us proud and the Christmas dinner with all the trimmings was a triumph.

Score: 25.5 out of 25 (Pol Pot erred on the conservative side with such a low score).
