Run 1319, 30 April 2009
Hare: Old Boar
Venue: Royal Mail Hotel, 519 Spencer Street, West Melbourne
At the hotel the menu said it was roadkill night, so the hare warned
us to look for roadkill on the run.
Down Dudley Street to Newquay, which meant that unless we were swimming
the only way out was back up Newquay, past all the flash restaurants of
Waterfront City. Back on solid ground the trail was found across the road,
but was obviously going the wrong way, the fast runners headed on a big
loop south, whilst the slow runners headed around the Docklands Stadium
and back into the city. The fast runners came back round the stadium the
other side. On up to Flagstaff Gardens and home down Stanley Street where
the roadkill was found. Nicklby said that everyone enjoyed the run, but
the arrows set 30 paces apart were set by someone with very large paces.
