A select few of us travelled east to join the ladies, and see Prawn Fraser go off, at the strangest RSL in Australia - no beer served - had to BYO. Also the venue was difficult to find as the RSL is hidden behind a building site for a new supermarket. Had to enter via back lane. A huge crowd turned up (more than 100), and with the opening of Eastlink there was no waiting for the Peninsular mob (early for the first time ever).
    The trail headed north across the Maroondah highway, down to Cootamundra Walk, and followed the parkland in a loop round to Laburnum station, where the drink stop was - Hash Splash and prawn crackers. All 5000 managed to be fed the roast dinner - with the quick addition of roast chicken from the local shop.
    Usual agenda - get rid of old committee - drink for all ex GMs (theres more of them than anyone else) - which leaves only a few people to pick the new GM from  - which is BubbleGum.
 All followed by entertainer, Crazy Pete - magician.
