The Hash House Harriers has been described in many ways, not all of them complimentary. However the description that sums it up best is "A Drinking Club with a Running Problem".

The Hash House Harriers began in Kuala Lumpur in 1938 and since then has spread all over the world. Almost anywhere you go in the world, you can find a hash club. They are all slightly different in their own way but they are all essentially the same - a non-competitive run followed by a few beers.

Lakeside H3 meets every Wednesday night at 6:30 pm (ish) at various locations around inner Melbourne (see Upcoming Runs). A hare is appointed (or occasionally volunteers) every week The hare is responsible for setting the run and organising the food afterwards.
