La Chorale Française de Melbourne, Australie
History
La La La was founded in 1998 by Catrine Berlatier, who wanted to share her native French music with the people of her adopted country.
Since that time, La La La has grown from a small ensemble of 10 or so people, to a full-scale choir encompassing up to eight singing parts. The choir currently comprises about 35 members, with ages ranging from 13 to . . . much older.
La La La is tackling an ever-broadening range of music of increasing complexity and has built up a reputation of excellence under Musical Director Paola Bastreri-Grey who has been with the choir since 2004. We believe we are the only French language community choir in Australia.
