Wrought iron gates erected in 1936 at the corner of Mollison and Clowes Sts. A gift made by Mr R D Elliott and his sisters in memory of their parents. The central entrance is 4 ft 3 inches wide. The stonework is by W T Jones and Son, Kyneton. "Four piers of local bluestone rock faced block courses, two surmounted by fine axed moulded cappings and the curbing and smaller piers.... being similarly treated" (Kyneton Guardian 17 November 1936). The gates were designed by Stephenson & Meldrum of Melbourne and made by Cr C R Caslake of South Yarra. The gates werre formally opened by Councillor McKenna and Dr Shields (MLA) on 15 November 1936. A small bronze plaque commemorates the gift.
