About Us

Kyneton and District Adult Riding Club was established in 1984 by an enthusiastic group of local riders and over many years has established Club Grounds at Rollinson Reserve Kyneton. Kyneton is approximately 100 kms north of Melbourne along the Calder Highway in the Macedon Ranges.

The Club grounds are at Rollinson Reserve, Redesdale Road, Kyneton. The grounds are shared with the Pony Club, Car Club and Trike and Odyssey Club.

Kyneton Adult Riding Club is a small, friendly Club with membership capped at 45 members that strives to maintain affordable fees. The Club caters for riders of all abilities and provides the opportunity for members to improve their horse's eduction and their own riding skills.

Facilities

The facilities, including Club Rooms and a Dressage Arena, have been built from money raised from such events as Dressage Competitions, Horse Shows and Raffles.

Members are expected to attend as a volunteer at least one event per year, whether it be a competition, working bee, etc.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at Kyneton Bowling Club at 8pm. All members and prospective members are most welcome to attend.

The Club holds rallies on the 2nd Saturday of the month either at the Club Grounds at Rollinson Reserve Kyneton or during the Winter months at one of the district Indoor arenas. Lessons are in a very friendly atmosphere with a maximum of two in a group. Costs are $30 at the Club Grounds or, if at an Indoor School $40. Members are most welcome to come and watch if they're not riding.
