Some Events and Activities undertaken by the Kyneton Historical Society:

2005 - August 15 - Celebrating VP Day - 60 years end of WW II with a concert and display at the Kyneton Town Hall in conjunction with the Kyneton R.S.L.

2005 - November 19 - 'Showcase Kyneton' at the Kyneton Agricultural Show with displays, publications etc.

2006 - February 12 - Conducted a Re-Discovering Rural History at Coliban Farm, Lauriston, featuring a panel of Central Victoria's distinguished historians. These included: Peter Cuffley, James Lerk, Brian Rhule, Norm Darwin, Geoff Russell and Ken James.

2006 March - Celebrating the Commonwealth Games, the Macedon Ranges Shire produced via a grant and with assistance from the Kyneton Historical Society several banners depicting local sporting heroes that also achieved in their fields at a higher level. These will be on display at the Kyneton Museum, 67 Piper Street, Kyneton for the whole of March, with each historical society in the shire invited to showcase themselves to visitors. Each will have a glass display cabinet at the Museum and each society will adopt a theme for their exhibition. Kyneton has chosen the theme of "Connecting People and Place", with storyboards, maps and objects. 'Living History' will be on show at the Kyneton Museum from March until May 2006.

2007 October - Launch of the 'Moroney' family history.

2008 February - 26 week indexing program commenced with the help of volunteers from Conservation Volunteers Australia program.

2008 May - Dinner at the local R.S.L with guest speaker Dr Michael Lawrisky speaking about his book 'Hard Jacka', a history about the life of Albert Jacka who had been awarded a Victoria Cross for his heroic efforts in W.W. I.

20008 October - Hosted and presented papers at the country meeting of The Medical History Society of Victoria.

2009 September - Launch of Dr Carole Walker's new book on Caroline Chisholm

2010 August -  Convoy along Burke and Wills Track following in the foot steps of the explorers.

2010 October - 59 birthday meeting at Kyneton R.S.L.  with guest speaker Dr Michael Lawrisky speaking about his follow up book "Return of the Gallipoli Legend Jacka V.C."

2010  November - Mounted display at 150th Kyneton Agricultural Show.

2011 August - Part of the Re-enactment celebrating the 150th anniversary of the 1861 Railway Navvies Revolt.

2011 October - Celebrated the society's 60th Anniversary.  

2012 February - Display at the Kyneton Drill Hall celebrating the return of the 8/17th Battalion Royal Victorian Regiment.

2012 March - Shifted into permanent home.

2012 April - Display at the opening of the refurbished Kyneton Mechanics Institute.

2012 April - Display at the opening of the new Kyneton Police Station.

2012 April - Opening of Museum House complex.

2014 June - Launch of Book "A History of the Redesdale Railway Line 1891-1954"
