The Chipmunks time travel between 1985 and 1955 in a time machine similar to that of BTTF. There is picture on the cover of the video of a clocktower being struck by lightning and the Chipmunks sliding down a rope.

Other films titles parodies in "The Chipmunks go to the Movies" series - "Funny, We Shrunk the Adults", "Daytona Jones and the Pearl of Wisdom", "Bigger!", "Butmunk". Each film is parodied by the use of the story in a Chipmunks kind of way.

Episode 16: "If I'm Dyin' I'm Lyin'"

A strange marriage of BTTF and Shaft - where both are parodied in a film spoof called "Black to the Future." The main character of the film, Funky McFly, goes back in time in a De Lorean after shouting, "It's outta time, baby!" Later he plays the theme from Shaft at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance. A Marvin Berry-like character calls Isaac Hayes, singer/songwriter for the 1971 blaxploitation classic (instead of Chuck Berry, as in BTTF).

Episode 45: "Roswell that Ends Well"

When the crew of the Planet Express ship get hurtled back in time to 1947 New Mexico, Fry tries to avoid interfering with his family history - but ends up having to push his granfather out of the way of a jeep and make sure he ends up with his grandmother! Professor Farnsworth also says "Great Scott!" at one point.

Gonzo is dressed as the Doc, with wild white hair and a lab coat. He kisses Miss Piggy at the end, which causes the time machine to shoot up into the air!
