Album: In Recovery
Released: Unknown
The
title is an obvious reference and the middle eight of the song
breaks into the Main Theme of Back to the Future, composed
by Alan Silvestri. There are two versions of the song - one is
available on Inspection 12's latest album "In Recovery".
NOTE:
The lyrics aren't particularly BTTF-ish but are included
in an effort ot be as detailed as possible.
I think she might just have it for me
Maybe she'll find me interesting.
I'll have to wait and see.
I've got her. I'm the guy in the band.
You had her-she slipped out of your hands.
You got screwed over
And now its over, yea.
Trying to impress me will prove worthless.
Already gave you a chance.
And given clues you'll realize it too,
You miserably failed the test.
So how long will it be till I can get away from you,
Cause you don't know what to say,
And you don't know what to do.
Someday soon, I'm hoping, you'll be gone.

An
ode to "longing for a girl you don't have, who won't give
you the time of day, and still believing it's possible"
(composer Daniel Brummel), there are several references to Lorraine
Baines McFly. Ozma's official website outline's how the writer
was inspired to write the song.
NOTE:
The beginning of the song uses the melody of the song "Earth
Angel".
there's just one thing i cannot find
one girl who cannot be mine
she's in love with calvin klein
i know she could have any one of these boys
and here i'm playing with my baby toys
i'm rocking out but i'm just making noise
sixteen years and what do you get
another ex and deeper in debt
i've done all my time and i've placed all my bets
people say that l.a. is a dive
but living ain't that hard if you know you're alive
we still party like it's 1955
lorraine, lorraine, my destiny
this song is over without you
so i'm singing this refrain to you
until the night i realized
that i still see the world through
sugar coated eyes
lorraine, lorraine, my destiny
this song is over without you
so i'm singing my last refrain to you, lorraine

A
tribute to Marty McFly, summarizing his time travelling adventures
through Part I, II and III.
Words
and Music by Joe Nafziger.
It wasnt long ago I was watching you
flee
From Libyan terrorist refugees
In your time machine you left burnt fire tracks
You went to the 50s and you never looked back
You invented the skateboard and you kissed your mom
You hooked up your dad when she tried to get some
You taught Biff a lesson and you played the guitar
You saved your whole future and you were a star
Chorus:
Marty McFly, where have you been?
Zipping around time in your DeLorean
Marty McFly, what have you seen?
I wish I had my own time machine
Back to the Future 2 was my favorite yet
Your time machine car was now a time machine jet
The flux capacitor was now Mr. Fusion
In the future you had electric Nike shoes on
Your pink hoverboard was made by Mattel
Biff stole the almanac it all went to hell
You went to the 50s then the present again
Worked it out, got the girl, man I knew you would win
Back to the Future 3 was on every screen
I saw it when I was only thirteen
I cant believe the Indians shot your ride
Now you needed some place that you could hide
You went to Hill Valley and you won a new gun
You helped the Doc win over Clara Clayton
You invented the Frisbee and you built a speed train
You made it back home but you just werent the same

From
the composer of Lorraine (see above) comes another homage
to BTTF in song. The opening of the song uses the BTTF
theme.
I'll wear my tux
You'll wear your gown
We'll take a rented limo down
To where they filmed the lightning scene
You'll be Hill Valley's queen
At 10:04 something happens that'll take you
and your love away from me
At 10:04 something happens and I'll tell you how the future's
gonna be
either you're not coming home or you're coming on home to me
We'll stumble through
The best of times
You'll bring me nicely cut up limes
We'll drink them down
Corona rounds
To toast hill valley's crown

"TIME TRAVEL: FACT, FICTION AND
FANTASY" |

Michael
J. Fox hosted this special which first aired in July 1985. It
was produced by BTTF creator Bob Gale, along with Suzanne
McCafferty and Gale Hollenbaugh. The special explored Hollywood's
use of time travel as a plot device.
Most
of the special has Fox sitting in H.G. Wells' Time Machine, but
when the BTTF section begins, the DeLorean is revealed. There
are several clips shown, including: the DeLorean backing out
of Doc's van; the DeLorean going 88 miles an hour past Doc and
Marty, Marty entering Hill Valley square in 1955; Marty, Doc,
Lorraine and George in the high school hallway and part of the
skateboard chase sequence.
There
is also some behind-the-scenes footage of the DeLorean being
built, interviews with Zemeckis and Gale, Steven Spielberg saying
"We're making a movie about time," and footage of the
2nd unit director talking to Einstein in the DeLorean before
her goes back in time - telling the dog his motivation!

From
earlier this year, comes the Top Ten (in the UK) hit song "Year
3000" - which references BTTF
one day when I came home at lunchtime,
I heard a funny noise
went out to the back yard to find out if it was,
one of those rowdy boys.
stood there with my neighbour called peter,
and a Flux Capacitor.
he told me he built a time machine
like the one in a film I've seen,
yeah yeah... he said...
I've been to the year three thousand
not much has changed but they lived under water,
and your great great great grand daughter,
is pretty fine (is pretty fine)
he took me to the future in the flux thing
and I saw everything,
boy bands and another one and another one ... and another one!
triple breasted women swim around town... totally naked!
we drove round in a time machine,
like the one in the film I've seen..
yeah yeah... he said...
I've been to the year three thousand
not much has changed but they lived under water,
and your great great great grand daughter,
is pretty fine (is pretty fine)
I took a trip to the yeah 3 thousand
this song had gone multi platinum,
everybody bought our 7th album.
it had outsold Michael Jackson,
I took a trip to the yeah 3 thousand
this song had gone multi platinum,
everybody brought our 7th album, 7th album.
he told me he built a time machine
like the one in a film I've seen,
yeah yeah... he said...
