The longest time to spin a regulation basketball on one finger, while maintaining the spin, is 3 hr 59 min by Zhao Guang (China) on January 29, 2003, in Shenyang, China. In the warm-ups for his attempt, taxi-driver Zhao was often able to spin the basketball for up to 6 hours!

Zhao can spin the ball on any of his fingers, although he swapped between his thumb and index finger in his record-breaking attempt. He can also perform the skill blindfolded!

America's Joseph Odhiambo, has dribbled 6 basketballs simultaneously, beating his previous record of 5. The feat took place on August 15th, 2000 at his home at Mesa, Arizona, USA.

The most basketballs spun simultaneously is 28 by Michael Kettman of St. Augustine, Florida, USA, on 25 May 1999. The balls used were regulation Franklin Hardcourt No. 1 basketballs, and were spun on a specially-designed frame, for 5 seconds.

The longest basketball marathon is 30 hr 12 min, set by the Beatrice Hoops Basketball Organisation White and Orange teams (USA) at The Beatrice High School Gym, Beatrice, Nebraska on August 6-7, 2004.

Michael "Wild Thing" Wilson of the Harlem Globetrotters slam-dunked a regulation basketball through a goal set at a height of 3.65 m (12 ft) at Conseco Fieldhouse, Indiana, USA, on April 1, 2000. Michael is known as "The Wild Thing" because of his incredible jumping ability. Following his graduation from college in 1996, with a degree in education, he joined the Harlem Globetrotters, entertaining people all over the world. He has also played in competitive games for the Globetrotters, winning against the College All-Stars in 1997 and winning the LA Summer Pro-League in 1998.
