VET USE

Oralmat and Acno cream have proven excellent in the treatment of horses, dogs and many other animals, its success within the veterinary world is only now being discovered. Its successful use in the horse and greyhound racing world is however well documented and some of this information is presented here.

The failure of racehorses to perform to their potential is a worry to their owners and trainers. The stress placed on racehorses during training often causes them to develop a condition similar to colds and influenza in humans.

ORALMAT DROPS SOLUTION, is a non-toxic herbal extract for treating coughs, colds, flue and sore throats for which we have obtained Therapeutic Good Administration listing (registration). Products registered for human use can be prescribed by veterinary practitioners for treating non-food producing animals.

ORALMAT WOUND HEALING SPRAY SOLUTION, is a new product that should be in every horse owner’s and horse trainer’s kits.

It is an anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, potent non-toxic, non-intrusive, immunomodulating, analgesic normalizing agent that heals wounds on horses, prevents the formation of proud flesh, repels flies, regenerates hair growth and minimizes scarring.

Below are the results of a trial on horses in training staged by Dr Mervyn Williamson using Oralmat Drops Solution on pharyngeal lymphoid hyperplasia and allied conditions.
A summary of his findings is as follows:

Number of horses treated:   33
Successful:  29
Unable to check results:   3
Failure:   1

Dr Williamson also found that Oralmat possessed anti-inflammatory properties and in cases where horses had a deficient white cell count their white cell count normalized after the Oralmat treatment.

The horse N.J., cited in Dr Williamson’s report had 3 unplaced runs as a two year old. When placed in training as a three year old, they could not get the horse well enough to race before the horse was treated with Oralmat. In the 6 runs since the Oralmat treatments, all on metropolitan tracks, N.J. won twice, ran second three times and third once, including a half head second in a group 2 race.

Oralmat is the ultimate treatment for wounds, burns, ulcers, grazes, cuts, lesions, insect and spider bites, sunburn and allergy rashes, effective on acute shingles and sarcoids on horses and other animals.

Oralmat contains no substance prohibited under the rules of racing.

The following examples demonstrate the success of Oralmat Spray.

Analysis of Acno Cream by the Australian Racing Laboratory Pty Ltd

GC / MS / HPLC ANALYSIS OF ACNO CREAM.

Compounds that constitute ACNO cream have been analyzed and examined for analysis of urine compounds and metabolites which may contravene the rules of racing.

Oralmat Drops are an extract (Herbal) from secale cereale which by analysis produces mass spectral data consistent with glucopyranoside/mannitol/altritiol compounds. These compounds are widespread in plants and plant exudates and their use in pharmacy includes excipients and diluents for solids and liquids. Mass spectral data suggest these compounds would be metabolized rapidly in vivo and produce no screenable products on excretion.

Active ingredients are constituted by Triethanolamine type compounds with Imadazolidinyl urea and propyl / memyl paraben.

The effect of these compounds is to reduce sensation at nerve endings producing a pain killing effect Triethanolamine type compounds have a strong sclerosing effect.

This product acts as an inhibition of Substance P in nerve endings producing a decrease in sensation in the application area. It has been reported that repeated dosage in the same area can exhibit increasing pain relief over an extended period of time.

The product is similar in structure and function to Equi-block (USA) which has similar pain killing / analgesic effects.

Urinary excretion and metabolism when examined by GC /MS of the parent compounds will produce detectable mass spectral data of Triethanolamine compounds.

However, these compounds are safe for racing, as they are not in the screening profiles for the Australian Racing Laboratories (VIC / NSW / QLD / WA).
