Phillip Island's
koala population is threatened by habitat loss, dog attacks, and cars.
Friends of the Koalas works to ensure its survival by
- Creating community awareness of koalas and the problems
facing the Phillip Island colony and promoting public participation in
its preservation.
- Raising money for this purpose.
- Liaising with other groups involved with koalas.
- Re-establishing and conserving indigenous vegetation.

to raise public awareness of koalas.
- Providing financial support for local facilities for the
care of injured wildlife.
Friends of the Koalas works closely with the Phillip Island
Conservation Society, Phillip Island Landcare, and the Phillip Island
Nature Park.
