A Quiet Year

It's been a quiet year, activities and interest have been down. The committee will be trying to stimulate some interest in the new year! Come and join in.

Membership

Membership of the committee of management is open to all community members, please join up to show your support.
Membership costs $2 for continuing members, $3 for new members

Hall Maintenance

We've submitted a maintenance plan to the council and hope to get a response soon. Our immediate plans include fixing the roof and ceiling. We will be having a meeting to discuss the council response on the 5th of March.

Table Tennis

The hall has acquired a table tennis table, available for use at $1 per person; bats, balls and the net are at the shop.

Web Site

We have a new website at
www.vicnet.net.au/~kingcomm
This currently has a Friends of the Avenue page, if other community groups would like a page contact Michael Allen, secretary KCRC.

Rickard and Morrish Monument

The Hall Management Committee has had a request from Mrs. Christine Bronchinetti regarding a monument to the pioneering families of Kingston, the Rickard and the Morrish families. Chris and the descendants of these families wish to place a rock with a brass plaque in Kingston and it has been suggested that it should be placed at the front of the hall.
Chris is organising a reunion and fund raiser at the hall Sunday the 4th of February.
