The Kew Amateur Swimming Club is the oldest incorporated swimming

club in the State of Victoria, Australia, having formed in 1923.

The Kew Club provides an infrastructure where all swimmers can develop as individuals and as team members in a supportive and competitive environment.
   
The specific goals of the club are to: 
cater to the needs of all swimmers at all levels from junior development to national development.
provide professional and intensive coaching.

understand and cater for the special needs of individuals swimmers.

be able to respond to changes in the overall complement and calibre of swimmers by creating opportunities and effective support training to allow swimmers to develop to their full potential.
maintain a family atmospshere and promote parental invlovement.
Kew Swimming Club is a member of Swimming Victoria Incorporated, which is an affiliate of Swimming Australia Limited. The Club adheres to and promotes the principles contained in SAL's Member Welfare and Child Welfare policies.

Location
 

The Kew Swimming Club is located in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The majority of club members come from the suburbs of Kew, Canterbury, Balwyn, Surrey Hills, Mont Albert and Camberwell.

The club's 'Home' pool is located at the Boroondara Sports Complex, 271C Belmore Road, North Balwyn (Melways Ref: 46 F5) and is a 50m outdoor heated pool. Visit the YMCA Boroondara Sports Complex online at www.bsc.ymca.org.au We are also located at Strathcona Baptist Girls Grammar School, 34 Scott Street, Canterbury (Melways Ref: 46 D12) which is a 25m indoor heated pool.

   
How to join
 

We are always keen to attract new swimmers. Anyone interested in joining is welcome to come along to the Boroondara Sports Complex or Strathcona Swimming Pool for an assessment buy our Head coach or simply to talk to existing Kew swimmers or committee members.
