Pride Of Workmanship Awards 2008 Oct 27th,2008.

Guest Speaker Judy Madigan began by saying it was important to be valued in the community, at school or in the workforce. Most people have strong role models; young people who do not often end up in the juvenile justice system. She linked this with the importance of recognising good work in the community and pride of workmanship. People often tell others what they are doing wrong. It is good to recognise people who do the right thing. The ten people to receive awards have made the community a better place by doing more than they have to do. Judy congratulated the awardees and they were called forward to receive their awards. Awardees were Ennio & Karen Varrasso (Essendon Roundabout Newsagency), Kevin Skinner (Skinner Plumbing), Luise Schmittinger (Tezees Boutique), Edward (Ted) Eastman JP (SES volunteer), Kitty Crole (Home Care Physiotherapy), Jeff Milroy (Essendon Ford), Kylie Damcevski & Allison White (both Bendigo Bank), and Jacqueline Di Giorgio (City of Moonee Valley).
