Maddy Blair from Strathfieldsaye near Bendigo is our outgoing Rotary Youth Exchange student who left for Hungary on January 21st 2012. We look forward to regular updates from Maddy as she experiences a very different culture and much colder weather.She is pictured here with her father when she visited our Club recently.

Successful NYSF(National Youth Science Forum) participant in January 2010 was Madeleine Palamara. She is pictured here with her parents and 2009-1010 New Generations Director, Ken Allan (right).

Emily Lui from Penleigh=Essendon Grammar was nominated by our Club to attend NYSF (National Youth Science Forum) in Canberra last January. She visited the Club on May 26th to receive her award and was accompanied by her Chemistry Teacher(Christine Baldwin) and her parents , John and Rita. New Generations Director Steve Pennicott presented Emily with her certificate of attendance at NYSF at Canberra. Emily eloquently thanked the Club and told members what she had learnt and experienced over the two weeks - her CSIRO visit and experimental work there, hearing of research into disease effecting the Tasmanian Devil, workshops and mock job interviews. She said she had learned much about science and herself and thanked the Club for being able to attend the NYSF.

Inspiration from our Partners group and a desire to help the less fortunate in our community has led us to assist refugee students to attend the school swimming program and school camps.Pictured below Past President Yvonne presents the Club's cheque to Assistant Principal Julie Stephenson.
