Gilbert Park is easily accessed as it is adjacent to the major thoroughfare of Ferntree Gully Rd. and between Stud Rd and Scoresby Rd. Opposite the ground is the Knoxfield shopping centre with a variety of small shops and facilities. There are easy car parking facilities within the park and in adjacent streets.
Gilbert Park has 8 full sized diamonds with back nets and side fences.
Diamond 1, which is adjacent to the pavilion, has an all weather granitic sand infield with grass outfield. It also has lights to international play standard.
There are 3 other diamonds with granitic sand infields and grass outfields. The remaining 4 diamonds have granitic sand running paths with grass infields and outfields.
The park also has a full length enclosed batting cage, as well as a play ground for children and a large entertaining area with BBQ. The pavilion canteen serves a variety of hot and cold food and drinks on competition days. Members can be contacted at the ground on competition days on 03-9763 9159.
Recently, the City Of Knox has constructed an international standard Skate Park on the north west corner of the reserve.
