11. FORFEITS

(a)  Any club that cannot field a team for a particular match shall inform the opposing team and the Association Record Secretary as early as possible, prior to the proposed commencement of play.   Once a forfeit has been given, it cannot be retracted.   Unless written evidence of extraordinary circumstances is provided to the Executive, a fine will be incurred in accordance with Bylaw 19(b).

(b)  The team receiving the forfeit must forward a scorecard [Mail Form} to the Record Secretary listing the section number, club names, Won By and date.  FORFEIT must be written on the scorecard.
The team not defaulting shall be awarded all match points.

(c) Failure to notify the Association Record Secretary may result in a fine in accordance with by-law 19(d).  Notification may be made by phone or Mail Form.

(d) Failure to notify your opposition in person of a forfeit may result in a fine & loss of points in accordance to by-law 19(l).  If you are unable to speak with your opposition by phone, you are requried to attend the courts to notify them in person.
