In earlier years, native plants from many parts of Australia were planted in the reserve. The policy of the Committee is that any plantings should be of plants native to the district.
The convenient location and the network of paths makes the reserve an ideal place to see some of the bushland of the district.
Entrance to Kaweka Reserve. This entrance is in Turner Street. There are also entrances in Hall Street and Kaweka Street.
