Description of Project:

-To develop a informative, useful, attractive and dynamic Internet site for the organisation, its offsprings and supporters.

-To educate, instruct and inform our community about the Internet.

-The project will aim at a local, national and international audience.

People responsible:

-Project officer : To ensure that the overall aims of the project are developed.

-Site Designer / Programmer : To create the look and feel of the site, and add supplied material, at required times.

-Internet educator : To prepare and organise Internet information and seminars, in Greek and English, for our community.

Target Audience:

Web Site -

Online members.Students. Government Agencies, in Australia and Greece. Overseas Kalamata - Messinians and Greeks.

Internet Education -

Older Community members.Members that have not had access to internet previously.

Functions of Project:

- To act as a 1st stop/quick stop for current organisation news.

- To act as the Online news letter.

- To promote the organisation to the on line community, in schools, government and business, in Australia, Greece and elsewhere.

-To establish quicker/cheaper links with members.

- To establish quicker/cheaper links with Greek government bodies.

- To create a public forum Online for our community.

- To educate and train our community on the use of the Internet.

- To develop our organisation’s image, as a progressive and advanced.

Outline of project development process:

Web Site -

Consult with organisation on content priorities. Consult with programmer and publicist/PR for content preparation. Add content to site. Inform other Online organisations on our presence. Update as required. Check feedback, and modify as required. Publicise site in conventional media, and correspondence.

Internet Education -

Seek community feedback on the need for Internet education, particularly in Greek. Seek outside patners for Internet education. Plan and activate first education session. Determine success of Internet education, in terms of... 1/ did it help the participants.

2/ Did it raise the organisation profile in the community.

Modify program as required.
