Global Video Seminar
A Video Performance of: "The Jung-White Letters"
Saturday 31st October, 1:30pm - 5:00pm Saturday 14th November, 1:30pm - 5:00pm at Richmond Library
The International School of Analytical Psychology in Zurich plans
to stage a dramatisation of ’The Jung-White Letters’. This
correspondence describes a dramatic trajectory in the intense personal
relationship and intellectual exchange between the older C.G. Jung and
the younger Catholic theologian, Victor White, O.P. At the end of
the Second World War, these two men developed a shared mission to
transform the spiritual and psychological life of the Western
world. Their irresolvable debate about the problem of evil
revealed the chasm between their two thought-worlds. Like all classical
tragedies their story has vital interludes of laughter and healthy
glimpses of Eros. Questions arising in our discussion will
be sent for inclusion in the global video discussion of the play on 14th
November, which participants will access from the Asheville website.
