They offer special airfares to Melbourne for delegate members and will be taking accommodation bookings for the Novotel Bayside, the official Conference hotel. The beachside suburb of St Kilda is located six kilometres south of Melbourne’s city centre and is easily accessible by public transport.

ACCOMMODATION

The Conference has reserved a number of rooms in a variety of St Kilda hotels ranging from four star accommodation to a backpacker hostel. These reservations must be confirmed within four weeks of the Conference, ie. by the 23 October 1995. PLEASE BOOK EARLY. The availability of rooms cannot be guaranteed after that date. Delegate members must contact Performance Travel or the hotel of their choice directly to make bookings. (Make sure you mention the Conference to guarantee a room.)

The official Conference hotel, the Singaporean-owned Novotel Bayside is Melbourne’s only four star beach-front hotel and overlooks Port Phillip Bay. The well-appointed rooms have bay or city views. PARKING

Street parking in St Kilda is restricted. Parking in the KC Park Safe carpark adjacent to the George Cinema is available for Conference delegate members at the discounted flat rate of $4 (one entry/one exit) per vehicle per day on presentation of your Conference identification badge.

CHILDCARE

Private babysitting is available in hotel guests’ rooms at the Novotel Bayside. Rates are $35 for the first three hours, and $6 per hour thereafter.
