For the first time the Conference will be accompanied by a public film festival devoted entirely to documentary cinema and proudly sponsored by Discovery Channel, the world’s largest documentary television network. Running from 22-30 November and highlighting the best in recent production from Australian and international filmmakers, the festival will focus on feature films, archival and thematic programs. Discounted tickets will be available for fully registered delegate members. A festival program will be available before the Conference. Films confirmed to date include John Pilger’s latest offering Vietnam: The Last Battle and the world premiere of quirky US independent documentary video maker Ellen Spiro’s Roam Sweet Home.
