The Montrose Public Hall was built circa 1915 and is listed as a building of local heritage significance with the Shire of Yarra Ranges.

The Montrose Public Hall is available for hire for functions such as:

  • Birthday Parties,
  • Children's Parties,
  • Engagement Parties,
  • Group Workshops/Seminars,
  • Trivia/Bingo Nights,
  • Dances
  • Regular Hire
Facilities include:
  • Gas Heating
  • Internal Toilets
  • Stage
  • Large Kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, pie warmer, plenty of bench space, urn.

    The Hall accommodates approximately 80 people seated at trestle tables, and 120 people standing.

Costs (subject to change, GST inclusive):

  • Casual Hire: $AUD 220.00,

Bond: $AUD 250.00
Public Liability Insurance $AUD 13.20
Key Deposit: $AUD 10.00 (refundable).

  • Regular Hire
    • Community/Non-Profit Groups: $AUD 9.90 per hour
    • Commercial Hirers: $AUD 12.10 per hour

    Bond: $AUD 250.00
    All regular hirers must have their own public liability insurance.

Japara House at Montrose and The Bridge Community Garden Centre, Kilsyth both have rooms available for hire for children's parties, community group meetings, social get-togethers, and other functions at reasonable prices.
