CreekCARE ... offers you opportunity to help look are one very special creek, Hughes Creek and its surrounding bushland reserve.  Your assistance will be very welcome and your work will contribute directly to the well-being of your local environment.

Hughes Creek is in Sassafras, running east between Alice Street on its north and Hilton Road on its south, and was an unknown and unnamed waterway.  It feeds larger creeks and rivers downstream, Dobson's creek first then onto Dandenong Creek which flows into Port Phillip Bay via the Patterson River at Carrum.

Hughes Creek and its reserve used to be just a part of a public bushland reserve but is now a part of the Dandenong Ranges National Park.

The Hughes Creek is an incorporated Friends group of committed volunteers working in the Hughes Creek area for many years.  It would be great to have new faces join our band of intrepid bush lovers to continue the good work caring for our own environment.
