Alpha1 Association
The Alpha-1 Association is a non-profit, world wide membership organization, with six chapters and over 70 support groups. Its mission is to identify those affected by alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency, and to improve the quality of their lives through support, education, advocacy and research. The Association newsletter is distributed throughout the United States and 38 other countries. The Association's primary purpose is to provide educational resources and support for diagnosed alphas, and to act as an advocate for people affected by A1AD. Its active and widespread membership provides local access to information, support and contact with other alphas, and educational materials for professionals, patients and their families.
