2nd Dec 2005: Congratulations again goes out to the
young lads now in section 3 of the
KDNTA Thursday night singles/doubles
competition. They won their grand final in tight match, beating
Templer three sets two, 27 games 23.
18th Nov 2005: A quick reminder to anyone wishing to play in the midweek ladies
tournament in December to get their entries in. The tournament has a maximum of 28 pairs
competing, so it will sell out!
16th Nov 2005: Entries are now being accepted for the junior club championships.
Contact Rob Peterson for entries and other details. The tournament will be held over a number of
afternoons (after school) in December, and with many age group categories available there is
plenty of tennis on offer!
12th Nov 2005: A very belated congratulations to the
Men's VTS side playing in Grade 12, they not only won
their section, but the entire grade as well! An outstanding effort.
The team won the grade grand final in style too, 7
rubbers to 1, 14 sets 3, 98 games 64.
31st Oct 2005: Congratulations to Brendan Moore for winning the HTC
club championships back to back! Brendan defeated David Scott in
a 3 set match yesterday morning, 6-7, 6-3, 6-1.
29th Oct 2005: Congratulations to Lisa Bradley! Ladies champion of Heathmont Tennis
Club. Lisa defeated Kellie Harmer 10-4 in the 1st round, and then Katherine Cole 6-4, 1-6,
6-3 in the grand final. Well done Lisa!
In other results today, 1st seed Brendan Moore defeated Nick Sheehan in the semi-final of the
men's event 6-2, 6-3 and 2nd seed David Scott defeated Jay Croucher in their semi 2-6, 6-1, 6-1.
The grand final will be played tomorrow at 11am.

27th Oct 2005: More news than you can poke a stick at... Midweek ladies, a tournament
will be held on Wednesday 7th of December for ladies of all standards. The mid-year one is
so popular that a December one has been created to take some pressure off! Get your
entries in early to Jan Crapper.
26th Oct 2005: The draws for the club championships are done! The

The b-grade tournament has been cancelled due to lack of entries in the main draw.

17th Sep 2005: The senior club championship
entry form is available here. Please make
sure you are available all of the days of the championships.
Entries are due the Monday beforehand - 24th of
October.
Entries are free, and we would love to see it be the biggest club championships in years.
The b-grade tournament will allow everyone to have a go!
There are no doubles events this year to ensure that the singles events are as high standard as
possible.
14th Sep 2005: Club championships are on the agenda! Again this year the
championships will be split into two events. The
seniors event will be held in late
October on Cup Weekend, and Cup Day. The juniors event will be run in December.

If you want to compete in the senior events, ensure you have paid all your
membership dues,
and then grab an entry form.
Entry will be FREE!
The early round losers in the seniors events will be able to compete in a
b-grade tournament as
well, so don't be afraid to enter, you will be able to play plenty of tennis over the weekend!
29th Aug 2005: The home and away footy season has
drawn to a close, and hence it is time to announce the winner of the Great Annual Heathmont
Tennis Club Football Tipping competition:
Philip Jay. He correctly picked 118 winners, and edged out
James Wingate (116) and David Sellick (116).
Could you have done better? Join in next year!
2nd Aug 2005: Thank you to all who attended the trivia night and made it a
fantastic success! Everyone had a fun night of trivia, talking and generally having a good
time! Congratulations to the winning table that included none other than our wonderful
coach, Rob.
Special thanks must be extended to Kellie for organising
the evening.

30th June 2005: A quick reminder to keep those pre-booked tables rolling in for the
trivia night. Pre-booking attracts a 20% discount - $80 per table instead of $100.
20th June 2005: News from the midweek ladies tournament is all very positive! The
weather was cold, but thankfully dry, and everyone had a great day! The tournament went so
well there was demand for another one, so look out ladies, there will be another tournament in
December!
9th June 2005: Congratulations goes out to the

fashion, beating Scoresby five sets love.
5th June 2005: Calling all juniors! Next weekend there is a round robin tournament at
the club. It starts at 12:30, and costs $2.00. You'd have to be silly to miss it!

24th May 2005: HTC Committee 2005/06 contains ten
enthusiastic members willing to
give up one Monday night a month for the good of their club! The new
committee is
listed on the committee page! Thank you to everyone who turned up to the
AGM tonight. The
president and treasurer's
reports both contained positive news for the club.
23rd May 2005: AFL round 9 is now complete and the
HTC great annual footy tipping competition has a three way tie for
first! David Scott, Philip Jay and David Sellick all have 46
tips correct so far! Check out the

22nd May 2005: Please attend the 79th AGM
tomorrow evening, at the clubhouse from 8:15pm. Tea
and coffee will be available and it shouldn't take too long.
13th May 2005: Want to play singles? Consider playing Men's singles/doubles
competition of Thursday nights then! Entries for the coming
KDNTA season closes this weekend, contact

12th May 2005: Trivia night!! You are cordially
invited to Heathmont Tennis Club's
night of nights, the 2005 trivia night! It will be held at the Heathmont Scout Hall, in Barrow
Drive, on Saturday the 30th of July. $10 per head, tables of 10, or $80 for a pre-booked table

3rd May 2005: Alas there was a disappointing lack of participants at the senior round
robin on Sunday. Please attend these events in numbers!
27th April 2005: Calling all seniors! This Sunday (1st May) is your round robin! It
kicks off at 2pm and gives you a chance to socialise with other tennis-minded folk from the
neighbourhood. All standards are catered for!
10th April 2005: This is official annual general meeting notification!
The AGM will be held on Monday 23rd of May, 2005. The
agenda is available

will also arrive in your mailbox over the next few days. Make sure you take an interest in your club's ongoing
health and welfare!
29th March 2005: A quick reminder that membership renewal fees
are due this Friday! (April 1st). That's in 3 days! Please help out by paying your fees on time, and don't
forget that every member must pay the insurance levy.
21st March 2005: Applications for jobs at
the Australian Open are now open! If you like the idea of
being on court with the best of them, this is the summer
job for you. Young (ball kids) or Old (chauffeurs) or anywhere in between, there is a
job for you. Check the

details, and
applications close Thursday 31st March.
20th March 2005: More tippers required! With
footy season fast approaching (only 4 days away!) the HTC
footy tipping competition needs a few more punters.

instructions on how to join, and get cracking! Prizes are awarded left right and
center!
9th March 2005: Senior round robin's are here to stay after another successful
tournament. The next date is Sunday May 1st, so instead of attending May Day marches, come
and play tennis - guaranteed to not have guys with megaphones!
4th March 2005: Remember to join us this Sunday for a senior round
robin. Suited to all standards of players, the afternoon of tennis
starts at 3pm and runs into the early evening.

18th Jan 2005: The senior round robin held on the weekend was a raging success! Fine weather and 32
players combined to produce a grand day of tennis! Keep your eyes on this site for news of next months event!
12th Jan 2005: Come one, come all, this Sunday (16th Jan) to the first Senior round robin of the year.
Kicking off at 3pm, it should be a nice day of tennis and socialising. The round robin is graded so all
standards are catered for!
