CCCI - Happy Hour

One of the advantages of belonging to Maroondah HomeBiz is that you also get invited to functions organized by the Croydon Chamber of Commerce and Industry. One of their very successful regular functions is the happy hour held at the Croydon Hotel.

This particular happy hour held on Thursday June 20th 2002 was attended by 70 people from businesses of all sizes together with the Mayor, councillors and executives from Maroondah City Council.

The businesses present were from all aspects of industry and commerce varying from one man businesses to global corporations. They represented service industries, retail wholesale and manufacturing; from a dance instructor to Siemens.

There were a number of HomeBiz members present. It is very typical at these events that the networking leads to the establishment of valuable new contacts and it is not at all unusual for new business to be written on the spot.

Smart HomeBiz members are rapidly coming to appreciate the value of attending this type of networking event and members of the chamber are rapidly coming to appreciate the services which can be offered by very small businesses
