Jason Clarke, founding father of Minds at Work, has taught thinking
skills to everyone from primary school kids and farmers, from lawyers
to prisoners, to stockbrokers and CEOs.
At our February 2007 meeting he emphasised how innovation and creativity
came from very small businesses and could be easily stifled in larger
organizations. He looked at the different approaches and attitudes
needed at the different stages in the development of an idea and
demonstrated a number of tools which could facilitate the process.
As he fired up a very interested crowd into trying to utilise these
tools on a number of theoretical problems it was easy to see how
turning a dream into a reality needed different skills and often
co-operation between diverse groups and individuals.
