April 2004 - Outlook Show & Tell

At our April 2004 meeting Hilary Milsome from Serenity Office Solutions and Graeme Gummow of Desktop Ability explored many of the features of the frequently under utilised Microsoft Outlook.

Hilary as usual was able to lead us through the many uncharted passageways of Outlook as she placed particular emphasis on the way the journaling features could be used to track your activities and enable you to manage your interaction with clients.

Graeme helped relate the features of Outllok to the needs of various types of business. He demonstrated great skills as a faciltator which we may use in the future.

Many of the attendees expressed an interest in another session on the same topic to enable us to investigate even more features and at a more complex level. The committee are looking at ways of doing this.

In the exchange of questions and hints other members of the group demonstrated a very good understanding of this product. In particular Dave Harry of Catfish Computers and Sam Katakouzinos of Clean Sweep IT showed they could teach even our experts a trick or two and were unlucky to be tricked out of winning the bottles of wine by our devious president. Dave was even able to correct a configuration problem on the President's notebook.

In all a very sucessful and interesting meeting.
