Hoa Hao Buddhists worship ancesters and Buddha at home as the main place of worship, which normally is the living room of the house.  In Vietnam every Hoa Hao Buddhist house has a two level altar. The lower level is dedicated to the altar of ancestors while the upper level is for worshipping Buddha, Darma and Singha, called 'Tam Bao', the "Most Venerable Three".  In front of the house, there is an Open Altar.

The method of repeating the name of 'Nam Mo A Di Da Phat" originally was  recommended by the Sakhyamuni Buddha when He began His Mission which Lord So Phu Huynh passed on and said is suitable to most people nowsaday because it  helps the practitioner always remind themselves of the Way of Buddha to follow.   A Di Da Phat is the name of a Buddha who the Sakhyamuni Buddha said had made a vow when He became Buddha that every living being who keeps repeating His Name all the time without their mind being disturbed will be rescued by Him on their death, and sent to His Paradise to complete their training, in order to return to carry out His Mission to save the world.   The Salvation is conditional only on dedicated repetition and repentance despite the sins which the practitioner  had committed in the past.  (Poem)

Boat used by Lord So Phu Huynh prior to His Mission

The above photo is about the sampan which had allegedly been used by Lord So Phu Huynh disguised as an Old Ferry Person around the six provinces as He mentioned in the first volume of His "Oracles" before He launched His Mission.  The sampan is now put away as a relic.
