Infants' Room
Our Infants' Room provides for children from six weeks to two years of age. We provide individual care with personalised orientation programs where the infant's routine at home is replicated as much as possible. Establishing a primary carer within the room throughout orientation provides infants with responsive and trusting relationships which in turn develops their self-esteem and confidence in their surroundings. Carers work in partnership with families to provide continuity of care.
We focus on providing quality interactions through the implementation of our program which allows multiple experiences for infants so that they may develop their skills and explore the world around them through a variety of mediums. Routine times such as nappy changing and meal times are used to develop and extend relationships with children creating security and warmth for the infant.
We provide both cots and small stretcher beds so that the sleeping requirements for all ages are accommodated.
The outdoor play area for the Infants' Room comprises a quality recycled rubber matting providing maximum protection for little hands, knees and feet. This together with the sandpit and other portable play equipment makes the outdoor area an exciting and fun place for infants to play and explore. The outdoor area also has extensive shade awning to protect the infants from both the sun and the heat.

Toddler Room
Our Toddler Room provides care for children approximately two to three years of age. Our Toddler Room is an area of discovery through paint, drawing, building, story time, activities and experiences. These are changed and developed on a regular basis to build upon children's interests and developmental and learning needs.
Children's independence and initiative is encouraged to help increase their awareness of the world around them. Encouragement of self-help and independence skills as well as fostering the development of positive social skills and interactions are part of a meaningful learning environment.
Both indoor and outdoor play is recognised as a great avenue for learning. The program is structured to provide children with opportunities for learning through utilising all their senses and for progressively discovering and mastering new experiences.
The Toddler Room's outdoor play area comprises a surface of tan bark and rubber soft fall, climbing equipment, sandpit and a host of portable play equipment to assist in developing skill areas. The area is shaded with a large awning and by the surrounding trees.
At pick-up time, parents are provided with an information sheet advising them of their child's activities. They also receive additional verbal feedback from our carers.

3 year old Pre-School Room
The 3 year old Pre-School Room caters for children from three to four years of age. The program is changed fortnightly and is based upon the information gathered from individual children's files and observations taken of the children, which concentrates on the accounts of spontaneous learning. The aim of each program is to extend the developmental progress of the children whilst taking into consideration their various backgrounds and individual needs.
We implement group-times throughout the day where children are encouraged to participate in various planned experiences ranging from story time to informative discussions. This is extended throughout the year to develop their concentration span and general knowledge.
The program offers both indoor and outdoor play throughout the day. Children are given the opportunity to explore and develop their social interactions, emotional awareness and self-identity, thus building their self-esteem. The children gain a sense of ownership of their environment through independent access to appropriate equipment. Experiences are also planned to assist children with developing receptive and expressive language, comprehension, fine motor (small hand coordination) skills as well as gross motor skills (large body movement).

State Funded Pre-School Program
We employ a qualified Pre-School teacher to run a fully funded Pre-School program. This program runs during school term, with a vacation care program offered during the school holidays. Before and after school care is offered outside the Pre-School program.
The Pre-School program incorporates a play-based, child-initiated curriculum aimed at extending and developing the children's cognitive, social, emotional, language and physical skills through recognising and respecting children's interests and lifestyles. The Pre-School teacher plans in partnership with families a fortnightly program which is based on individual children's needs and interests. Through a wide variety of creative learning tools, the children are provided the opportunity to build their self-esteem and confidence in themselves and their learning abilities. These learning abilities include resilience, knowledge and intuitive thought, and an enthusiasm to be educated in anticipation for their preparatory year at school. Children also undertake a pre-prep program including weekly music and movement, science, social education and library programs. Occasional excursions are also arranged.
Parents are invited to attend an information evening at the beginning of the year, where the Pre-School program and learning objectives are explained. This provides parents with the opportunity to learn more about the Centre and provide suggestions of any other activities they would like to see included in the program. In addition to this, progress reports are provided to parents at the end of terms 2 and 4 and parent/teacher interviews are held during term 3. At the interview the child's progress and school readiness are discussed and any specific needs from parents are indentified so that the child's individual learning can be modified.*
*Please note: Due to government funding requirements it is the parents' responsibility to notify the Director if their child is attending another funded Pre-School program.
