He married ANN ARDLEY Suffolk. ANN became the mother of ANN ALSTON Boxford, Suffolk.

EDWARD became the father of ANN ALSTON Boxford, Suffolk. He was baptized Newton, Suffolk, 10 March 1566. Religion: Cof E. Edward Alston of Boxford and Polstead, clothier. Bought the manor of Shelland Hall in 1615. He had five brothers:- William Alston of Newton; Peter Alston of Bramford b.1569; Thomas Alston of 'Ayson',Suffolk b.1572; John Alston of Stisted, Essex b.1576 and ?Joseph Alston, b.1578.

6 i. ANN⁶ ALSTON was born Boxford, Suffolk. She married HENRY PAYNE ?Boxford. HENRY was born Suffolk 1590. HENRY was the son of WILLIAM PAYNE and ELIZABETH CHENERY. HENRY became the father of ANNE PAYNE Suffolk. (See HENRY PAYNE for the continuation of this line.)

ANN became the mother of ANNE PAYNE Suffolk. She was baptized Boxford, Suffolk, 15 October 1607. Religion: C of E. Living in 1643.
