c t i v i t i e s
Two or three times a year the Society arranges for members to participate in exhibitions. Our Major exhibition involves all members and, so far we have been able to include all our entries from members. We have used the Exhibition Foyer of the A.M.P. in the city , the Presbyterian Church Hall and the Town Hall in Hawthorn. Other exhibitions include those where a group of members participate in an exhibition run by another organization such as the International Flower Show held at the Exhibitions Buildings.
WORKSHOPS
Most of the
workshops run by H.A.S are on the
basis of co-operative financing. The monitor or tutor negotiates with
his/her
class members an appropriate fee which covers all expenses such as
Studio
Fee, Model's Fees and also allows out-of-pocket expenses incurred by
the
Tutor. In some instances the Tutor does not charge a teaching fee. Some
workshops have a dual fee system - a term fee for ten classes and a
slighter
higher fee for casual students.
