Hard Knox at the World Vintage Softball - Rotorua NZ March 2007

Four of the Hard Knox Men joined with the Redbacks from Brisbane to form the Hard Backs team for these games. The team was not as successful as we would have liked, but the competition was played in a typical friendly Masters spirit, and a lot of fun was had by all.

One of the most interesting activities was playing the Men's Slow Pitch team from the USA. All of their players were over the age of 60 and many were over 65, but, boy, could they hit a ball !! Several ended up on the roof of the Rugby Stadium, whereas, none of our players could get more than a row or 2 into the stand.

Rob Kendall dropping a pitch through the strike zone.

The US Men's team, the Human Kinetics - great guys and their supporters and families were very friendly as well.
