Beginners as much as experienced players. Traditionally, Monash is a Club with extensive player turnover for the simple reason that Handball is not played much among Australians and most team members are international students staying for a year or two. Although this has brought many bitter ‘Good Bye’s it has always been interesting to come together with players from all over the world.

Currently there are Australian, Brasilian, Chinese, German, Macedonian, Mauritian, Norwegian, Serbian and Swiss players in the team. People come from many backgrounds and it is explicitly not essential that you are a student at Monash or anywhere. In fact, our training times are in the evening mainly to accommodate for players with full time jobs.

If you are new to Melbourne, playing Handball might help you to get to know people quickly and we might be able to assist you with the daily problems you may encounter.
