Are You Eligible?

To join you must be over the age of 16. (See Junior Brigade if aged under 16)

You must live or work within the boundaries of the Brigades response area 

How to apply:

You can contact our Human Recourses Manager by sending an email with your contact details (see Contact Us).

What happens then:

You will need to fill out some paperwork. Then some of your details and photo will be placed on a station notice board for approximately 2 months so members can consider your application and get to know you. Brigade members will vote whether to accept your application. Once accepted you will be registered with the CFA and will undergo a police check. You then get basic training during a recruit course. Of course if you intend to join as an Operational Support member you will not be required to undergo recruit training.

After completing your recruit course you can then become a firefighter and can turn out to calls with the Brigade and expand your knowledge with further training.
