The Grange Community Centre began life as the Grange Children’s Centre offering Kindergarten and Maternal & Child Health services out of a temporary re-locatable building. In May 1993 the centre became incorporated as The Grange Community Centre and a volunteer committee oversaw its operation.

The Committee of Management is made up of users of the centre and other interested community members. This group meets monthly and everyone is welcome to attend.

In 2000 Wyndham City Council recognized the need for paid coordination at its Community Centres and provided funding for 6 hours a week of co-ordination. As the Grange grew so did the funding and turnover. We now employ a Centre Manager, Administration Assistant, Book Keeper and various Childcare Teachers and Assistants.

With the growing local community we soon outgrew our building and Wyndham City Council began the process to design a new centre. In 2002 a Project Control Group (PCG) was formed comprising of Councilors, Council Officers, Grange Community Centre Committee Members, Hoppers Crossing Soccer Club Committee Members and other interested parties. The design process took almost 18 months and building commenced in May 2004. We moved in to the new building in June 2005.
