Parent Participation

Parent participation is crucial to the smooth running of a Pre-School Centre. This is mainly done by way of rosters.

Fruit duty/Activity helper

Provides the opportunity for a family member or friend to come to the Centre for the entire session and, together with their child, help with activities and to prepare for snack time. Children look forward to their turn. Toddlers are most welcome.

Laundry

Each family in both 3yo and 4yo will be asked to take a turn of washing hand towels, smocks, tea towels etc. You will be advised when it is your turn.

Cleaning

During fruit duty, light cleaning duties are carried out to maintain strict hygiene standards. Please refer to requirements listed in the kitchen.

Working Bees

4 Working Bees are held during the year (one per term). Families of both 3 year old and 4 year old children are required to attend one of these Working Bees for the year. A roster will be organised during Term One.

Skills to Offer

Children burst with pride when their parents are involved in an aspect of their environment away from the home. Please talk to the Teachers or Committee about ways that you can become involved.
