There are several buck awards recognised by the Dairy Goat Society of Australia.

A Dagger † is awarded to a buck whose dam and sires dam have both been awarded a Q* or *Q*.

Section Mark § is awarded to a buck whose dam and sires dam have been awarded R90 or higher herd recording figures.

A SM Sire of Merit is a buck who has five daughters who have been awarded *, Q*, *Q* or R90 or F90 or above figures.

There is also an Australian Champion Buck Award.
