Based on the Lord's prayer, this book provides guidance on organising one's prayer life, basic teaching on prayer and diary pages for remembering important prayer points. Published by the author in 1986.
A daily planning pad for anyone who wants to organise their time well. Published by the author in 1985 and reprinted again in 1987,1989 and 1991. Publication rights now with Doreo Zoe.
A small booklet showing that many people are missing out on the Holy Spirit of God. It gives guidance as to how to have that spirit in one's life. Published by Doreo Zoe in 1990.
This book has been written for people who, for one reason or another, have never had the opportunity to know and accept that Jesus Christ is the basis for all human life. They may have searched high and low for meaning to their life, been led up all manner of dead-end paths, but never has the truth of God's plan for people on this earth ever been revealed to them.
God's truth has to be searched for in the right places and there are so many spiritual alternatives offered these days, it is no wonder that the real truth can be hard to find. Not that it has been hidden, because the bible has been easily available in western countries for hundreds of years. This book does not reveal any new things, but simply reflects w hat the bible has been saying for all of that time.
It is easily observable that some churchgoers do not have the full truth either. Perhaps because of poor understanding or poor teaching, they May not know the entire message of the bible and what it can mean for them in their life. The message of the bible is a message of life and death, of well-being or calamity. This book gives a simple explanation of the bible and shows the practical ways that the gospel of Jesus Christ can help every living person. Many people will benefit from reading this book including:
Anyone who is interested in what has been said so far.
Anyone seeking real meaning to their life.
Churchgoers who are not certain of their status with God, or who know they have not been born again, or don't know what ' born again ' means.
People who once knew God, but have slipped away from a proper relationship with him.
People who have never heard what Christianity is all about.
People for whom life is a bit of a struggle.
People who have been involved with some form of religion or sect other than Christianity.
Christian who have doubts.
Clever people who have lived mainly on their intellect.
All forms of no hopers i.e. by their own assessment.
Perhaps anyone!
If you fall into one or two of these groups, then the few hours it takes to read this book would be the best investment of your time you could ever make. As the title says, you can have the opportunity to "Escape into life."

Who wouldn't want to read a book with the appealing title "Escape into life" . The longer I live, the more I am convinced that most people deeply desire to live a better quality of life than that which they are experiencing at the present time. When questioned, they are willing to admit that they want happiness, security and someone to love them.
Well here is a book that will help you find the very best out of life . . . the best in family life, in your work place, your neighbourhood, and with your friends.
The world around us is disintegrating! Listen to these words from a writer who comments on the spiritual needs of this present generation: "What one generation allows in moderation, the next generation excuses in excess. The disintegration of public morals is not only portrayed in statistics of epidemic proportions, but is illustrated in textbooks, etiquette books, movies, magazines and advertisements."
Ken Walker's book will point you in the right direction to find an answer to the ills of our society, and of your own personal life. You can escape from the darkness you are experiencing in all areas of your life, and begin to walk in the light of truth. The author rightly reminds us that when all else fails, we ought to look up the maker's manual. This manual, the bible, is not outdated; it's as up-to-date as the current edition of time magazine!
You may find yourself pictured in one of the real-life stories in this book. You will also find the answer to the dilemma in which you find yourself, whether your problem has to do with loneliness, health, love, marriage, sex, children or finance.
There is little doubt that we in the twentieth century are sailing through stormy seas. Ken Walker directs us to the source, where we can learn how to sail through these seas, avoiding "hidden reefs" or "sandbanks", experiencing a quality of life and knowing a power beyond our own human resources to Escape into life.
I have "escaped" into this new life. I trust that you won't miss out!

There are so many books published these days about various aspects of life, that are quite misleading and false, that it is great to be able to recommend this book written by Ken Walker. This book, Escape into life contains truths not often heard about today in our modern society, even though they have been available for thousands of years through God's word in the Bible.
It is not a stuffy book which is hard to read and understand. The author tells, in very simple language, of many people who have recovered from the disasters of life, simply by following the directions found in the pages of the Bible. It also sets out very clearly how life should be lived and would be great reading for all those who are down and out or those ordinary men and women who constantly struggle with the problems of life.
It is refreshing to see such a book, which was written not only to counteract the lies found in books on the new age movement and occult practice, but also to show the right way to do things. The book shows very clearly that the distinction between these two ways, the way of the world and the way of God, can make the difference between life and death.
A book such as this that promotes the gospel of the lord Jesus Christ and relates it to the ordinary issues of life is worth reading. As a believer in God myself, I rely on the word of God to help me live daily. l recommend this book to all people who, whatever beliefs they May have, want to ensure they receive all that life has to offer.

Having been through the mill of life, particularly in my middle years, a book such as this is written from the heart. l now know that my own efforts as a mortal man can never give me the fullness of life that I want and need whilst living on this earth. However, after trying to do it my way and failing, l can acknowledge my creator's wisdom and ability to give me all that I need, even beyond my expectations.
But the most important thing about writing this book is that what i say is not my discovery or invention. Many writers, when they put pen to paper about how life May be lived better, relate only to their own experiences of life, or of their adoption of man-made philosophies that they have found useful.
What I have discovered, is that all that God has for man, has been there for all time, and has been further illuminated by the books known as the new testament of the holy bible. What happened to me initially and to many others, is that these truths somehow remained hidden, even as they still remain hidden to many of those who populate the world today.
So this is not a book about the experiences of an author who hopes that readers will follow his directions for a new and better life. Rather it is an explanation, with suitable real life anecdotes, of God's plan for every person on this earth. It expresses truths not to be missed, as many men and women over the centuries have missed the truths of the Bible, the handbook of life.
I hope that my insignificant effort in writing such a book will begin to lead a few more people back to the only true and living God, so that they may experience all that God has for them here on earth. Like most people who involve themselves in our wonderful world, I have experienced some of its worst aspects and have observed many others doing the same. I was fortunate to realise that I needed to acknowledge the rightful place of God in my life. After I did that, miracles began to happen.
Many people have helped me along the byways of life and this book is in many ways a tribute to their loving efforts. More recently, others have helped in the preparation of the manuscript. In the reading of the manuscript and in offering suggestions for improvement, l acknowledge the work of Elizabeth Ingram, Norma Reimers, Ann Lennox, Andre and June Linossier and the special work done by the eagle eye of Stuart Williams on my expression, punctuation and spelling. Any inconsistencies that remain are mine.
I am also thankful for the editing work done by my wife val, who offered many wise comments to one of the final drafts, and to my friend pastor Geoff Davies, who in his retirement, was able to correct and refine the Biblical aspects.

Because some of this material may be new or different to your present views of life, the first need is for you to decide to consider ideas that may go against your present beliefs. You will be encouraged to look at some new and different things. By doing so, you will begin to understand and accept some ideas about Christianity that you perhaps had not even heard about before. Jesus Christ is the most revolutionary person to have ever lived. His principles and ideas are generally rather the opposite to the way we live in this world, and so May initially seem to go against some of your previous ways of looking at life. Therefore, if you really want to find out what this book is all about and its relevance for you in today s world, then for the time being you may need to set aside some of your previous ideas. Keep reminding yourself of this every time you are confronted by a statement that seems offensive to you, or challenges your established ideas or human logic.
Having decided to do this its pretty straight going. There is no need to read the chapters in the order in which they appear. They may be read in any order to suit you. As you read chapters 1- 12, you will find that the remaining chapters ( 13-26 ) are referred to frequently. This is so the Biblical explanations in those chapters are not mixed up with the stories and ideas mentioned in the first 12 chapters. It's easier to read that way. Here is an example.
Go back to the end of the second paragraph on this page where mention was made of neat ideas perhaps being difficult for our own human logic. In order for you to understand more about that, you would be referred to Chapter 24 which is entitled ' Getting past man's human reasoning and logic.' you can either keep reading where you are, or go to that Chapter and read it now. It's a helpful way to learn.
One further point. I have chosen to limit the mentioning and acknowledgment or Biblical references, because to have included them would have cluttered up the text with perhaps up to ten references per page and the reader may have lost the sense of what was being said. Some important scriptures have been acknowledged, as have the work of other authors. Readers will have to use a good reference Bible is they want to follow up on the hundreds of scriptures used in the writing of such a book.

Life goes on! This is often said when there has been some disaster or calamity. It is mostly meant to imply, that no matter what has happened to us in the course of our life, we must persevere. It also implies that we must take the difficulties of life on our own shoulders, as though there were no other way to do it.
The good news of this book is that there is another way. There is a way of life where the burdens that come can be lifted away, where there is a way of knowing that whatever happens, there is a way through.
Each of the chapters in this first part have stories that demonstrate how the difficulties of life are able to be overcome, no matter how much they might seem to limit or control our behaviour.. Every one told has actually happened. You the reader will be able to see a new way of handling the problems that beset everyone of us at some time or another.
Some of the stories are very exciting, because they show how people's courage and determination can conquer many different problems. Others are about the routines of life that throw us all at one time or another. All of the stories told are from real life. In most cases, the people in the story have given permission for their story to be told. In other cases, elements of each story are derived from the lives of more than one person, so that in none of these cases is any one person represented. Therefore any likeness to a particular person, living or dead, is entirely coincidental. However, the elements built into each story are all taken from real life.
In all cases, other names have been used, except the one case where the story told is an extract of another author's own story and has been acknowledged as such.
Although all the chapters and the stories in them might prove interesting, it is perhaps best to first read those that relate to the most difficult issues in your life, whatever they might be. Good reading!
