Prophecies. (Predictions)
How we know the Bible is true.
We add this supplement to help convince readers of the
authenticity and reliability of the Bible - and to warn of what is to come.
The Bible uses the word prophecy to describe the many predictions that have
been made over the last 6000 years.
There are 738 significant predictions in the Bible. Up to this point in time,
720 of these have come about, just as predicted. The remaining 18 are still
to come.
The Bible has been 100% accurate, unlike the predictions of clairvoyants and
others who attempt to predict the future. People such as Nostradamus and in
later times, Jeanne Dixon, have never been able to predict with this
accuracy.
The Bible is never wrong. The question for readers is - if the Bible has
predicted the first 720 of these prophecies with pin point accuracy, what are
the chances of the remaining 18 coming true? The answer is obvious.
To demonstrate this accuracy, here are a smattering of the 720 that have come
true - and some of those that will. These are taken from Willmington, pages
906 to 912.
Some of these are even about secular history, showing that the Bible covers
some events outside the primary spectrum of Scripture. Even readers with only
a scant knowledge of Scripture will recognize many of these events. These
have been listed in two parts.
Firstly, those events which are still to come and secondly those events which
have already occurred.
